The Panchaloga Vallabha Ganapathi Statue depicts Lord Ganapathi comfortably seated on a lotus pedestal with his consort seated on his lap. The statue is crafted from Panchaloham, a combination of five sacred metals. Lord Ganapathi is depicted holding a beautiful flower and various weapons. The distinctive features of this statue include a Kumba (pot) placed on Lord Ganapathi’s trunk, which is turned towards the right, resembling Valanchuzhi Vinayagar. On the backside of Vinayagar, a grand Thiruvasi is present, and a chakra is positioned behind his head. The lord’s consort ‘Vallabha’ sits on his left thigh, representing the embodiment of his power (Shakti), and she holds a lotus in her hand. In the upper left hands of Lord Ganesha, he holds a Modak, an Indian sweet that he adores, along with a bow, a noose, and a lotus flower. This pot-bellied Ganapati, along with his consort, serves as a protector against evil forces and bestows blessings of prosperity and wealth upon his devotees. Sri Vallabha Ganapati, also known as Maha Vallabha Ganapati, is one of the 32 forms of Lord Ganesha. As the leader of the Ganas of Lord Shiva, Ganapati is venerated as the remover of obstacles and the lord of new beginnings. Thus, he is worshipped at the commencement of auspicious occasions and ceremonies. Additionally, he is considered the patron of intellect and wisdom.
